10 Volunteers went down Comet Rd, south off the Napier Taihape Rd. In this area we're supporting DoC to stop the spread of pines off the Comet summit into the regenerating bush. Regrowth has been getting away here so bigger trees. 1,069 pines taken out. As part of the trip we also popped into Blowhard Bush to help Forest & Bird deal with a few wilding pines in their reserve - and we got rid of 26 here - still a couple of hard-to-reach ones though!
