9 volunteers went in, and we pretty much finished off what we can do at Comet Rd. Hot and sunny is an unusual experience for us up there, but a welcome change from some other trips! We cleared both sides of the road down nearly to the road end. This area had major infestations in the past, with lots of trees taken down by ground crews. It was good for us to clean up the remainder, but we'll need to be back as there will be lots of reseeding. A big help to DoC not having to deal with this. We cleared 1,681 pines, bringing our total to 26,360.
