A total of 7 volunteers were at The Lakes to go over areas we first managed 2 years ago. It is still surprising how many new seedlings there were - plus some we missed the previous times. This is why we keep needing to go back on a regular basis!
Every single one of these wildings, if left untouched, would soon become a seed source spreading more wilding conifers into our gorgeous native bush.
Together we pulled, snipped and cut (and pasted) 3,424 pines.
We discovered areas where there are great infestations that we couldn't get to today, so will be back again soon!
