Makahu - 21 May 2025

10 volunteers made a 'recce' trip up Kaweka Rd to Makahu to investigate areas DoC are keen to see kept clear of pines. We split into groups checking 3 areas - 2 north of the road and also the Makahu / Trail spurs. Pleasingly we didn't see too much regrowth from previous control activity. There will be a few more trips back to this area to make a more thorough search in a few areas we identified. 392 pines pulled out or cut down
